Patience Grasshopper

I found that not many books have sold. However, at the same time, I keep hearing from friends who have bought the book how wonderful it is. I heard from my publisher saying not to worry, that it was going to take a while to get going. Maybe it’s like Spring this year. All March and April, there were cold nights and there was even snow into April. I keep watching for this wonderful sight – the hills around Becket get a wonderful green glow. It’s my sign that Spring is really here. That glow just hadn’t happened.

Then, for the last couple of days, it has actually been hot. HOT! I loved it. I had to put on shorts.

And… after all that waiting, I looked up to the hills today and mmmmm…. that glow of green. It just needed a couple of hot days – plus all the days leading up to it.

So, I will keep plugging away. Sending missives to blogs. Posting here. Talking about it. And, writing the second book, which is now getting too long to keep in my head. It’s pretty cool. I’m learning a lot. Life is good.
